MC Breed
For nostalgia's sake I give you MC Breed's "Ain't No Future In Yo' Frontin".
Most bloggers are suffice to just simply post an old school jam via youtube with the hopes that it is ironic.
There's nothing ironic about MC Breed's "Ain't No Future In Yo' Frontin". Nothing at all. It is probably (please comment if you feel otherwise) one of the best rap songs of all time.
It makes use of two amazing samples: "Funky Worm" by The Ohio Players and "More Bounce To The Ounce" by Zapp.
Sub-note: Zapp is easily the biggest musical influence on Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg if you don't know.
Breed can even be considered a pioneer of mid-west rap hailing from Flint, Michigan. He also collaborated with both Southern and West Coast rappers well before the idea became the standard.
"If you leave it up to me I'd paint the White House black."
