Brigadier Jerry
A man called "Briggy" gwan nice it up.
Brigadier Jerry comes from a long line of famous toasters like Ranking Joe, Josey Wales, Charlie Chaplin, and U-Brown whom all got big playing for Daddy U-Roy's Sturgav Sound. All of these performers remain steady with "culture" based lyrics and condemn "slackness" in the dance which is a lot easier said then done.
Thinking about it now they all share a similar style and tone in one way or another.
Anyways, Briggy is more famous for his live stage presence then his albums, but that doesn't mean this one is weak by any means. Lots of good riddims and classic Briggy lyrics. The first tune alone is worth the download.
Nice rub a dub toasting just in time for Spring.
