Tarrus Riley "Living The Life Of A Gun"

Big big big tune.

This album has been out for a long time, but this a really decent video and worth checking.

I know I support blatant ignorant music, but that's because I appreciate the absurdity of it all. In truth I am really just a big softy at heart.

Tarrus Riley has been crushing dancehall ever since he popped up and it's cool that he never strays away from a positive message which is in my opinion way more "badman" than all the gun man chunes combined.

Also this video gets a HUGE bump for the Joe Lickshot cameo. Who is Joe Lickshot? You've probably heard him numerous times and never knew it.

Alborosie "Blue Movie Boo"

I'm not sure how he pulled this one off, but Alborosie (born and raised in Italy) channels his inner Buju (90's Buju mind you) for this tune.

The video isn't too bad considering dancehall videos are some of the most shiteous things ever captured on video, but you the viewer gets treated to some slack bubbling, a U-Roy cameo, weird Italian dudes showing up to the yard, and so on.

Hats off to Alborosie for pulling off the 90's dancehall hail mary.

Aidonia "Isaiah"

I just came across this tune today. I'd like to see more dancehall deejays take a stab at more haunting style themes like this. It would balance out a lot of the "fuck your mudda's pussy till it blister" type stuff that we "get" to listen to everyday.

There is a video for this song, but as with nearly EVERY dancehall video ever made in the genre's history it totally sucks.

Also Aidonia needs to ditch the whole Serena Williams pony tail thing because it's not just gonna work...ever.
