Jereme Rogers
This dude continually amazes. If you google him you'll find all these posts about whether he's serious or not.
Of course dude is serious.
He hangs out with Travis Barker who is basically the o.g triple o.g of wiggerdom.
He's serious.
Look at that face.
Fucking serious.

SDTW Needs

I'm on this Felix The Cat kick for the moment.
In high school I took Felix tabs seen here. It was one of those weird nights where we didn't plan on frying and then all of sudden you realize your body is melting through the couch and you can't pronounce the word "milk."
It was easily the most intense acid I ever ingested.
I realized I tell a lot of acid stories on here. For the record I only did hallucinogens about 10 or 12 times (I can't recall for obvious reasons).
Anyways, so we're clear I wasn't some freaky hippy flipping moron getting a back rub from a Korean dude in a ecstasy massage circle at the Orange Show. I was just your typical backpack rap listening, suburban, skate delinquent. WAY DIFFERENT homie.

Macho Tail Drop
Don't quote me on this, but this might be an actual good movie that has skateboarding in it.
Again this has NEVER happened in cinema before save for Gleaming The Cube.
The formula to making a good skateboarding movie is actually quite simple.
Yoou just need to make a good movie THEN add some skateboarding into the story. Key word is "some" here people. Just sprinkle in a little. Don't go and make some "Just one kid and his skateboard against the world" bullshit. That was only allowed in the 80's for a short while. Mostly during the time when audiences were succesitable to monatges example.
If you make a movie around just skateboarding that uses the "Rocky" formula you end up with Street Dreams.
With the script being full of gems like:
Dad: "Don't you realize that you're throwing your life away?"
P.Rod: "I'm not throwing anything away."
Brilliance.
Props to GT

SK8MAFIA Video

I missed being able to go to the premiere for this and a lot of people told me I missed out.
Oh well.
At least I can watch the whole thing now and for free.
I think it should be a good seller at skate shops.
Let's hope they spend the money on better board graphics.

Vox

I walked up to my desk this morning and found a pair of these bad boys waiting for me.
I really like what has been coming out from Vox the last few years. They are one of the few brands that are putting the "do it yourself" vibe back into skateboarding culture.

Lenox and Super Bowl Sunday
Everyone prefers to think that they live completely unique lives. In a sense we all do as no one single person lives as another, but I whole heartedly believe this thing called "life" through my eyes is one long and strange trip.

My son is 2 1/2 and dresses better than most adults.

Lenox got to pick out his own set of Matchbox cars. He went with the "law enforcement" set. I was very disappointed.

Look how he's sitting. Who does that? Shirt off, sweat pants, sitting there all cool and sh*t.

The world's smallest RUN DMC fan. "The king of rock/there is none higher/sucker mcs should call me sire."

Skateboard L is still on the grind even when it's 44 degrees.

Dump truck. I didn't get a good picture, but Lenox and Go-Go a.k.a Gordon were rolling these Tonka trucks down the hill and making them crash into a fence. It was pretty awesome.

If Lenox just got up and left the house without me I honestly believe he would do just fine.

Let me see your donut face.

He has this new technique where he eats ONLY the frosting parts off a donut. I call it the "Thanks You Little Jerk" donut technique.

After hanging with L all day I went to Ciera and Robbie's Super Bowl Party. This picture sums up my entire experience.

Beer posers and doggystyle blow jobs.

Three dimensional shotgunning.

Peer Pressure.

The hostess with the mostess.

America....F*CK YEAH!!!

Seattle Brands Do It Better

It's nice to know that Seattle's independent brands are still going strong even when the economy and specifically retail is in the sh*tter.
Have no fear cause Flying Coffin comes to the rescue with a great set of skate decks that function aesthetically singly or as a full set. Our friends at Flying Coffin never disappoint and always do the simple things right.
And if that wasn't enough...

TJ a.k.a The Dark Lord managed to get another mixtape out this time by ECDC and completely dedicated to Sonic Youth. Actual Pain always does there mixtapes right so I would suggest taking the time to download that som'a bitch.
Seattle weather may suck, but the brands that come out of here do not folks.

When life gives you lemons...

Regardless of the fact that America came through and elected the most promising politician in the last 40 years that doesn't mean things are gonna change just yet or even in his first term.
Life is real.
A lot of shops regardless of their clout and notoriety are gonna go down in the next year or two. Sorry to put it in writing, but it is the truth.
So while everyone is doing their best to persevere through this recession my friends at Us Versus Them are just giving the world a nice big middle finger by building a mini ramp smack dab inside the shop. Not like the Supreme bowl in LA that's all fancy and shit and doubles as some art piece we are talking a f*ckin' back yard mini ramp right in the front door.
Take that economy. Take that right in your ass.
Good job boys.
