Crass Documentary

I watched this Crass documentary yesterday.

It's sort of slow, but very cool to see how real Crass kept it. There is probably no other group in the history of the world that took the never "sell-out" ideal to this level.

Also the part where they talk about David Beckham wearing a bedazzled Crass tee is hilarious.

Yellowman & Fathead

I wish Fathead was still around to tour with Yellowman.

Yellow would be running around the stage and Fathead would just be standing next to the selecta chatting "Riiiigghhhhtttttt.....oooiiinnnkkk."

That would be nice.

You can't go wrong with these two.

Check "Step It Out A Babylon" cause it's massive.

There is no clear winner here, but I think going to say Sugar's cover is the roughest of the bunch.

Lil Boosie

I just came across this amazing interview of Lil Boosie. Not to pat myself on the back or anything, but there was a reason I put him up here this week because as you will read Boosie is completely out of pocket.

Here is just one choice "nug" from the interview:

When asked if he does in fact stick ecstasy pills in chick's booty holes....

"Lil’ Boosie: I get it from my cousin. He did it to a few girls way back in the game. And it just took off. I put it in a song. Everything I put in a song, I’ve tried it. So I put it in her booty hole and it melted. It melts in their booty hole and it hits them in 20 seconds. You never know what they’re gonna do. They may break out crying talking about their momma doesn’t love them or something. It hit them in the booty hole good."

When I Die I Hope You Blog About Me

Here is my response to all the death that seems to keep coming this year.

I don't profess to have any major design chops so go easy on the kid.

Proliferate it if you feel the need to.

Photo of The Day

It's a savage world.

Billy Boyo

Back to some niceness.

I don't much about Billy Boyo. I know he was one of the 80's child deejays and that's about it.

I'm pretty wary of any "best of" compilation, but this one rams. You can thank Junjo and Radics for that.

"One Spliff A Day" is the big chune on here.

Run it:

SDTW vs. FFFFound

I started realizing that all these image blogs borrow a lot of the same photos.

Now normally I would just dig through all of them to compile my own picks, but in the spirit of DIY I decided to just find my own images my dam self.

Enjoy an actual look into my a.d.d.

Street Struck: The Big L Story

I so support this.

Big L was the best that ever did it.

Lil Boosie

If you are curious as to why I support blatantly out of pocket ignorant rap it is directly related to the fact that I lived in the South for 3 years. I became obsessed with chopped and screwed tapes in 2001 or so and have never been able to stop listening to the damn music.

Granted it is more chic to bump Southern rap now, but at the time when I'd come home to San Diego my friends thought I was loony for listening to half speed rap with dudes named Chamillionaire, Mr. Lucci, Slim Thug, no less.

Lil Boosie is a whole other beast. Dude is from Louisiana which is probably one of the craziest backwoods states I've ever been to. Louisiana makes Texas looks like Switzerland if that lends you any perspective.

I think he sort of sounds like a little kid who is acting up in class which sort of becomes his most "endearing" quality after a few listens. Ironically I believe Lil Boosie is the father of six children which might explain where he derives his youthful tone.

You will just have to trust me on this one.

Let's get it:

I think The Gladiators joint wins this round.

I Heart The Internets

Look at this little creepy fucker.

What is it even made of? Nightmare fur?

Creepy.

Design Of The Day

I like the wording, but the little hit at the bottom is sort of sloppy.
