I'd be really surprised if anyone remembers this video. When this came out I thought it was the best thing ever captured to celluloid. Having aged 10 years I realize that may not be the case, but the video is still really cool after all this time. I tried to find a higher resolution version, but it didn't happen. I'm sure some German back pack nerd has it on his blog, but unfortunately I was unable to track it down.

And the worst album cover of the year goes to.....

Easy Vybz. I haven't had time to fully listen to this new album mainly due to the fact that I can't stop shakin' from how scary Addi looks on the cover.

I'm not even gonna tell you what I think about this album. I'm just gonna rip on this horrible excuse for an album cover. I mean as someone who lives and breathes for dancehall music and all things Jamaican this is just so bad.

Vybz shouldn't let his herb carrier do his lay-outs. Of course I sort of feel he had a hand in this dismal looking thing as I'm sure Vybz was the ad-wiz who came up with the brilliant idea of getting his 4 tears tat and bandanna on also known as "Weezy-itis". The t-shirt being off is known as DMXatosis or Ja Ruleapecia.

On the real though there's some big tunes on here. Run it. You won't be disappointed.

Man oh man how I miss these brothers. Das EFX sons anything you are currently f*cking with in your i-pod. These dudes helped shape the "Silver Era" of hip-hop and are pretty much the epitome of funky.

Skoob and Dre pretty much had people flippin when they dropped their flows and everyone bit from them to some extent Lords of the Underground, The Fu-Schnickens, Kris Kross,and even HOV (Jay Z) peep the Big L/Jay Z freestyle HERE *Note Big L was better than any emcee that ever rapped. Fact.

New Heavy Manners Tee Available

It's been a long time since we dropped some new product. The last being the
"About Fucking Time" tee for Street Machine.

Anyone on the other side of the counter or cloth can tell you why.

Money.

Unfortunately money does make the world go round and when you no one has any of it companies, businesses, brands, and shops start to fade away. Don't be surprised to see a lot of stores and brands drop off the face of the planet in the next coming months.

Personally, I'm glad in some ways. The saturation in our particular industry is ridiculous and it is time for Darwin's Law to take effect. Heavy Manners is nothing more than a glorified hobby for myself and my partner. Don't expect any "collections" or "seasons" from us. Those days are done. Instead look forward to more one off items like the tee shirt above.
