Baby Zeus and myself are really into this cartoon The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack.
It is so out of pocket.
Quick synopsis:
A young boy named Flapjack hangs out with this salty old pirate named K'Nuckles and they basically plot on ways to score candy which in their world is sort of like booze/drugs although they won't really come out and say it. K'Nuckles pounds "maple syrup" bottles the whole time and then gets "woozy" so we're talking major adult themes in the guise of a totally safe kid's show.
The show itself uses multiple mediums of animation including this company called Screen Novelties for a lot of stop motion animation scenes.
