I Heart The Internets
It's easy to see why other countries would completely hate us.

Photo of The Day
Keo and Reas
These just popped up in the email.
No big deal. Just some burners from Keo TC5 and Reas AOK.
Pretty standard king shit.
I chopped them up as big as blogger would allow, but I think it's cool to see the detail shots this way.

Twista "Fire"
This is the official Friday afternoon jam. It has that twang player player whistle vibe that makes you wish you had a relaxed hair doo, gold chain, and beeper. Well okay maybe that's a bit of a stretch.
I don't normally even acknowledge Twista's existence, but this track is the knock. It reminds of 90's summer days when I used to mess with that fire on the daily. Alas I'm an old man now and rarely if ever pick up a spliff, but there was a time when my ideal day consisted of skating over to my friend's house and rolling up a Garcia Vega (sorry Phillies) and watching Ninja Scroll.
Damn that still sounds like a good idea. Damn you old age and proverbial wisdom.
P.S Lil Boosie gets a pass on name alone.
Ooosssssshhhhh:

Nike Hyperizers
Another decent commercial from Nike.
The part where Fog Raw makes an ice cream cone appear magically is worth the watch alone.

Blue Scholars on NahRight
It ain't easy being relevant in rap music without posturing and posing like an "ex" 35 year old drug king pin.
Trust me I've tried.
Blue Scholars somehow pull it off.
Peep Seattle's finest on the only hip hop blog that matters.

Biggie

I've seen this album on a couple of blogs with all of them claiming that this is the original version of "Ready To Die". Now on the surface it's fairly similar to the album we all know frontwards and backwards, but there are some alternate lyrics and beats that in my opinion sound like scratch tracks. By scratch tracks I mean the producer was in the studio and putting the song together by laying different vocal takes over the track and these scratch tracks are what people are calling the "original" versions when in fact they are probably just the versions that never made the final cut. It's most notable when you hear varying vocals that aren't leveled correctly and sound like they are more of place holders and the like.
I could be wrong as I'm not some 90's rap scholar by any measure.
The best moments come during:
"Machine Gun Funk" Premiere version
Alternate "Ready To Die" beat
Alternate verse on "The What" w/ Method Man
Alternate "Juicy" Pete Rock original beat
"Suicidal Thoughts"
"Come On" w/ Sadat X
Listening to Biggie in his prime again makes it very apparent how much better he was than his contemporaries. Does that mean you name drop him in every 16 you spit? (The Game I'm looking in your direction) No, it doesn't, but his talent is undeniable.
