Gallant Man Extremely Concerned About Drunk Woman's Welfare

FORT WAYNE, IN—Derek Kriesel, 22, who shall heretofore be known far and wide as the stately prince of Shooters Sports Pub & Grub, gallantly rushed to the aid of an inebriated maiden Tuesday when he noticed she was too drunk to make rational decisions. "A noble one was he who, as the valiant knights of yore, attended to her every whim, and yet she did not have to ask, or even glance in his direction," bartender Nate Bogen said of the modern-day Lancelot, who from his own pocket purchased many a drink for the woman after she fumbled just once for her purse. "He is truly a man among men, for ne'er did his eyes stray from her." According to sources, the noble hero also escorted the fair lady to her quarters, fingered her while she vomited, and slipped off before dawn without waking her or her parents.

Just Blaze "90's Flava Vol. 1"

I've been getting my 90's on all day at work to this mix by Just Blaze. There's a lot of great songs on it and a good deal of dudes I've never even heard of who are really good.

The sound is iffy in some spots and Just Blaze talks way too much over the music in that stupid "mixtape dj" shout voice that everyone does so you can't fault him for it entirely.

Get it here:

You are not worthy.

Molotow High Pressure

I'm always amazed at how Europe just destroys us on spray paint and new and innovative graffiti products. America buys plenty of Belton and Montana so you'd think someone would develop a brand stateside, but until that day we're stuck with importing it.

I never really stray away from America's Finest, Rusto, and Painter's Touch, but I think a few of you know why ;)

Molotow's latest creation features high pressure, a stock fat cap, and can be used in extreme climates like snow and rain.

Check them out.

ITSBUNNYKITTY And Persue'

After a few years and a lot of talk Persue pronounced (per-SWAY) finally got a blog to document all his globe trotting, painting, art, and all things Bunny Kitty.

Persue has been a good friend of mine for the last few years and it is awesome to finally see him get some shine in the blog world. The man is criminally slept on mainly due to his own humility as an artist. You will not find a more humble artist of his caliber anywhere. For the most part he has chosen to remain quite and let his work do the talking.

His work on the street level hardly goes unnoticed as his resume will assert. Persue belongs to NY's C.O.D, Can 2's Stick Up Kids, Rime's The Exchange, and most recently the world famous Seventh Letter Crew.

For the last few years Persue has been developing an entire world dedicated to one character: Bunny Kitty.

Bunny Kitty is more of ever evolving story than a brand or product. Persue has created a story that he tells through stories, characters, music, toys, coloring books, stickers, skate decks, art shows, and anything else you could possibly think of.

But it is best to let him do the explaining.

BART Shooting

Not to start the new year off on a sour not or anything, but c'mon. I'm so sick of police brutality stories. I mean they deserve all the press coverage they get, but they just bum me out. This one in particular has to be the most depressing ones of them all in last few years.

Bad Man Photoshop

So I was looking for the "Last Man Standing" tune by Vybz Kartel last night and I came across what appeared to be Vybz's 25th myspace page. After clicking on the pics I found a folder with all these photoshop'd images of him and Mavado. Obviously these were created post Sting, but I couldn't help but post these things.

The last flick is just of Vybz from Sting, but I just thought the whole coffin thing was creative.

2009 is going to be so good for dancehall. Quote me.

National Lenox's Christmas Vacation

It was miracle we even made to SD with the weather in Seattle, but we managed to get through the airport sans my i.d. and get to Nonny and Papa's house for the holidays. Here's a few choice pics.

Lenox ripping apart his first present.

Playing with a new remote control car with his uncle. The car lasted 2 days. R.I.P Speedy Stunt Car. Live fast, die young I guess.

I want a f*ckin shark head. It doesn't have to be real per say, but it would really tie the living room together.

I have always appreciated simple hand painted local art for whatever reason.

There was an oldschool candy shop next door that had the all the old joints. Lenox went ape. I caught him stealing a pack of giant Smartie's. (not joking)

Get swiss cheesed up dun.

Oh and I saw this SUPER racist tin sign. C'mon America! Really?

Lenox came back to SD after staying a week with his grandparents. First thing he wanted to do was skate. You hear that? Skate, skate, skate. I am raising a prodigy.

Too bad, too rude. Father and son. Lenox got a kid's New Era "SD" fitted. Stunt stuntin' is a habit.

After skating it was straight to Goods so Lenox could go bug Jason for the umpteenth time for this Flying Coffin hat. Jason could in theory save himself the grief by sponsoring Little L on the skate team, but neither side have reached amicable terms.

Cartoons on the laptop and cereal in the bowl.

I snagged this book for Lenox. I am biting this character for sure. Orange sweater werecat? Ridiculous.

Normally if I saw a naked man in my window I would either attack him or call the pigs, but when it's your son you just have to shake your head and get him to stop swinging his ding a ling for the whole world to see.

Reggae Overload

I'm pretty sure this is actually a compilation and not a proper album, but like anything I could be wrong. The first four tunes alone are worth the download. The whole album comes from Brown's (Niney Years) which many nerds consider to be when Brown was at his best.

Track Listing:

Africa
No More Will I Roam
Blood Sun
Tribulation
Run Too Late
Only A Smile
Silver Words
Funny Feeling
Go Now
Shame

Download:
Dennis Brown "Dennis"

And then we have this dude. I was talking with Unite on the phone and we started getting into the whoas of Eek A Mouse and his off stage f*ckery, but we both ended up talking about how crucial Eek A Mouse truly was to dancehall's 80s era. One listen to this album and you'll know how random dude truly is. I picked "Assassinator" in particular just because it is harder to come by and I have never seen it on cd ever.

Check the tune "Posse" for some vicious sing jay biddy biddy bong bong non sense.

Track Listing:

Assassinator
Gunshot A Cry
Crime
Born Traveller
Peenie Walli (Fireflies)
Triple Love
Safari
Bad Friday
Posse
Some A Holla Some A Bawl

Download:
Eek A Mouse "Assassinator

One of the biggest toasters ever. I-Roy has some many good tunes. I thought this one would be good to round out the trifecta post here. I-Roy died in 1999 and was apparently homeless at the time of his death.

Track Listing:

Semi Classical Natty Dread
Musical Shark Attack
Drum Sound
Is Love I Deal With
Social Development
Jamboree
Skyjuice And Festival Dumping
Run For Your Life
Tribute To Michael Holding
Everybody Ballin'
Tribute To Marcus Garvey

Katt Williams vs Steve Harvey

If you haven't heard Steve Harvey challenged Katt Williams to a comedy battle called the "Comedy Championship" in Detroit on New Year's Eve. If that wasn't enough reason to tune in it was also said to be Katt Williams' last stand-up show after 18 years of comedy.

Granted, I haven't seen Steve Harvey's part (who performed first) but it sounds like Katt Williams didn't hesitate to go at dude brutally.

The above intro is the only clip I posted, but I'd bet money that the whole show is pretty funny.
