Johnny Clarke
Switching it up with some roots.
Random story about Johnny Clarke:
I was hanging with Unite and Half Pint of all people last year and we were talking about dancehall and the like and Half Pint told us that Johnny Clarke was the first dancehall singer ever. Coming from a "Waterhouse" legend I think it might be safe to say he was right. All of these tunes have been versioned a ton of times and exist in numerous versions. As far as I know this was Johnny's first proper album.
Also if you're wondering why the album cover has his name spelled different it is because reggae labels have ALWAYS had misspelled titles, artists, linear notes, the whole nine. I'm not sure why, but if you buy enough records you're bound to find an artist's name spelled 3 or 4 different ways.
